CCTV images released following assault in Newport.


Can you help?

Can you help us to identify the three people in these CCTV images who may have seen what happened when a man and a woman were assaulted on St James’ Street in Newport on Friday 17 May?

Shortly after 11pm the 47 year-old woman and 27 year-old man were assaulted by four people. The woman was treated for cuts and bruises and a concussion. The man was treated for cuts and a broken tooth.

The three people we are releasing images of are described as:

  • White.
  • Aged in their twenties.
  • The woman is described as slim, blonde, and was wearing a light blue dress and black Converse trainers.
  • The first man is described as average build, he had strawberry blonde hair, and was wearing a grey Nike jacket, dark jeans, and white trainers.
  • The second man is described as average build, he had brown hair and short stubble, and was wearing a grey puffer jacket along with white socks and sandals.
