I hope you are well and enjoying the lovely weather.  I have noticed recently on social media, residents trying to make others aware of a method where their phones / electrical devices have been stolen, and so wanted to bring this to your attention so we can try to reduce opportunities for this type of theft.

The method I am seeing described, is generally that whilst being in a busy establishment- coffee shop, fast food dining area, or similar, customers are placing their phones / devices down next to them and another person sitting near by is placing a napkin over the item.  They collect the device along with the napkin and then leave.  I hope that by bringing this to your attention we can try to prevent further thefts.
