We receive an average of 200 reports a week from local residents who have been defrauded, with a total weekly monetary loss of between £1million and £4million. Many of these crimes started with a simple phone call.  Our colleagues at the Met Police have created this short, simple, signed, subtitled video to help you avoid being defrauded by a criminal over the phone:
