Scam Alert - Ticketing Scams – Don’t Look Back in Anger…

Good afternoon,

We’ve heard some of you are digging out your parkas and dusting off your bucket hats in celebration of a certain reunion.

So we thought it was a good time dig out and dust off this very important, very relevant, Action Fraud advice: Stay safe from a cruel summer: be alert to ticket fraud ahead of this summer’s top events | Action Fraud

Please do read this before 09:00 on Saturday and don't let your hard earned cash “slide away” into the pockets of criminals.

Ideally pay on a credit card and any spending between £100-£30,000 will be covered under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act.

Inform your credit card company/bank IMMEDIATELY if you believe you have been scammed.

Hampshire Alerts is not a crime reporting portal – please do not report crime here.

If you realise you’ve been scammed and wish to report a fraud that has already happened, please report it to Action Fraud either phone 0300 123 2040 or online at: Action Fraud

If a crime is in progress, and/or you are in fear for yourself or someone else, and/or there is evidence in situ that could be damaged/destroyed, please phone 999 immediately.

Otherwise, report online, or find out about other ways to report a crime at: Report a crime | Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary

Thank you – Fraud Safeguarding Team
