You are receiving this alert because you are shown to live near to some reports of thefts from motor vehicles.  We do not mean to cause any alarm, however we hope that by bringing this to your attention we can decrease the opportunity for this type of crime.

Thefts from motor vehicles ( cars) are typically being committed without causing any damage to the vehicle, as the offender is trying car doors in the hope of finding a car insecure.  Please could we ask you to physically double check that your car is locked and secure on leaving it, and remove any valuables from your car when leaving the car empty.

Please could we also ask that you review any home cctv, for any alerts / recordings that are filmed overnight (on any dates).  If you have anything that causes concern / or that you believe may be someone trying car doors, please let me know by reply and I will send a link to request the cctv from you.
