Firstly, I am so sorry to talk about Christmas this early, but I am aware that some of us like to start buying presents early, and so Christmas deliveries are already occurring.

With this in mind, please could I draw your attention to how vulnerable deliveries, especially parcels, could be if they are left on your porch whilst you're out.  Sadly we are aware that sometimes delivery vans are followed and parcels collected from behind them.  Also, there are some people who will opportunistically take parcels left on porches.

Most delivery services provide the option to have an item delivered to a trusted neighbour; this is always a great option if you are happy with the person they will leave the item with ( and they are in!).

Other options include diverting the parcel to a lock box location where you can then attend at a time to suit you knowing it is safe and secure until then.  

You can also purchase lock boxes for your porch.  

Another option is whether you can simply provide somewhere within your porch area for parcels to be delivered but hidden from view- to prevent the opportunistic being aware that it is there.
