Police Activity within Farnborough Town Centre

Good afternoon Resident,

You are receiving this email as a resident within the Farnborough area, it relates to police presence within Farnborough Town Centre.

Hopefully, you will have seen some of your local Neighbourhood Policing Team patrolling the Farnborough Town Centre.  We do this for a number of reasons; to speak with local residents and business owners and find out the issues that are affecting them; to speak with visitors to the town centre and help resolve their issues, and by patrolling we provide a police presence.  Today we patrolled in company with our colleagues from Rushmoor Borough Council; we frequently work in multi agency partnership and this is just one of many ways in which we do so.

Today within our town centre patrol, we were approaching local stores and shops to remind them about an individual who is fraudulently claiming to have purchased an item from them; and on taking it home a family member has been badly cut by a hidden piece of metal or plastic.  He claims that this has caused excessive bleeding and seeks refunds and compensation for the cleaning.  We encourage anyone who comes across this claim to contact us using one of the below methods.

We have mentioned before how reports are vital to us being able to progress matters affecting our local community; if you do have any concerns about Farnborough Town Centre, or any part of Farnborough, please can we ask that you bring these to our attention via one of the following channels;

999- for emergencies

101 or online reporting for non emergencies.

We can be emailed at FarnboroughNPT@hampshire.police.uk if you want to speak to us about anything, however if it is a report of a crime it should originate via 999 / 101 or online to ensure it is properly recorded; we will be able to see these reports in our record management system.  The 'Farnborough NPT' inbox is not monitored and we wouldn't want to prevent a response if deemed appropriate by a call taker.  We will pick up the emails when we are able to do so on duty and reply accordingly.

If you could indicate how useful this information has been by using the voting buttons below I would be grateful as it allows me to review and see what types of alerts are useful for residents.

Kind Regards

Annette
