National Hate Crime Awareness

Good morning,

We are supporting the National Hate Crime Awareness Week and wanted to bring to your attention some key points in relation to help us drive out hate related crimes.

Hate crimes are rarely isolated incidents; it is abominable that anyone should be targeted because of their race, religion, disability, sexual orientation or transgender identity.  The impact on victims can be devastating.

Being you is not a crime, being targeted for being you is.

Report it.

If you see it or experience it, report it online by calling 101, via True Vision - https://www.report-it.org.uk/home  or via Third Party Reporting Centres - https://www.hampshire-pcc.gov.uk/get-involved/hatecrime/third-party-reporting-centres

Please tell us, we will not tolerate hate crimes and will do our upmost to identify the suspects and deal with the offence.

You may also not be aware of support you are entitled to as a victim of crime, but when you make a report to us, we will let you know where you can seek support in addition to our help.

Kind Regards

Annette
