Northern Neighbourhood Enforcement Team seize three motorbikes in 24 hours in Basingstoke

Officers from the Northern Neighbourhood Enforcement Team located and seized three motorbikes suspected to have been used in crime in the space of 24 hours.

The team was out on patrol in the Basingstoke area this week and located the vehicles in various parts of the town.

At around 12.30pm on Tuesday 15 October, officers spotted a woman riding an e-bike on Woolford Way. A 24-year-old woman from Basingstoke wanted on warrant was arrested and the bike was seized (bottom picture).

Later that evening, a second motorbike (top left picture) was seized by officers following an incident on Blackdown Close, Buckskin.

Officers launched an investigation and local District Policing Team (DPT) officers arrested a woman on a motorbike in War Memorial Park. An officer was then assaulted during the interview.

Chelsea Joyce Williams, 24, of Woolford Way, Basingstoke, has since been charged with driving a vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence, using a vehicle without third party insurance, assault by beating of an emergency worker and criminal damage.

She is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today (17 October).

Meanwhile, at around 12.30pm on Wednesday 16 October, the team searched a garage at a different address on Woolford Way and located and seized a BMW motorbike believed to have been stolen (top right picture).

Officers have identified the owner of the BMW bike (top right) but would like to identify the owners of the other two. If you recognise the bikes, and have proof of ownership, please contact 101, quoting 44240448544 (red bike) and 44240449202 (green bike).
