The joint Neighbourhood teams of Fleet and Aldershot along with our Neighbourhood Enforcement Team and Dog Section conducted an operation last night at various pubs in our area. We had the experts skills of Police Dog Major, who is specially trained to detect various drugs. These drugs include all of the types used by persons wishing to spike drinks and not just the recreational type! The night was a resounding success. You will be pleased to know that we did not detect any of the spiking drugs in any of the pubs. 3 people were found to have cannabis and one person in Aldershot was found to be in possession of a lock knife. This may not sound like a huge success but I am reassured that there is not a huge drug issue in our towns or surrounding area. This does not mean that I will stop this type of operation. They will continue as I want to make sure that you all have a safe and enjoyable time whilst you are out. If you have any information regarding drugs in any establishment or elsewhere, please do let me know and I will take action. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. #PCTerry | |
