Good evening Winchester,

Following a number of bike thefts from the Bar End area in Winchester, officers from the Winchester City Neighbourhood Policing Team conducted CCTV enquiries and were able to get footage of a suspect involved in these thefts.

Tonight, the team conducted proactive anti-social behaviour patrols around the city where one of our officers had spotted the same suspect by the bike shelter where these bikes had been stolen from.

Suspect was stopped and searched, and was subsequently arrested for going equipped for theft and a number of bike thefts.
