Man, 33, arrested after officers find suspected cocaine in Aldershot

A man has been arrested after officers found 19 grip seal bags containing suspected Class A drugs following a proactive stop in Aldershot yesterday.

Officers were patrolling the town when they spotted suspicious and drug-related activity linked to a Ford Mondeo on Farnborough Road at around 1pm on Wednesday 30 October.

Officers, assisted by the Dog Unit, searched the vehicle on Wellington Avenue and located 19 grip seal bags containing suspected cocaine that had been hidden inside a sock.

All items found, including the suspected drugs, £250 in cash, the car and a mobile phone, were seized.

A 33-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A.

He was also arrested on suspicion of using a vehicle without third party insurance and driving a vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
