We are investigating a number of incidents whereby members of the public have reported being bitten by a dog in the East Cowes area.
These incidents happened on the 12th, 15th and 19th November respectively.
The first two incidents saw members of the public bitten, and the third incident resulted in another dog being bitten and sustaining puncture wounds. The two members of the public required medical treatment for their injuries, and the injured dog was taken to the vet and given antibiotics and pain relief.
Police have been following up a number of enquiries, and have since identified and spoken with a man suspected of being in charge of the dog involved in these incidents.
The dog is no longer in this person’s possession, and our investigation continues.
If you have any information or have been impacted by these incidents, please contact police on 101. | ||||
