Dear All.  Police are often given information about things that are happening in the community by various sources and it is our job to investigate and act on it if we can.  We had been given information that one of the local restaurants had workers living above their premises and that these workers were illegals and living in poor conditions.  Today, you may have seen us in the Town Centre conducting one of these visits.  I am pleased to say that I can report that none of the workers were illegal or living in any circumstances that were sub-standard.  In fact the premises were very nice and all of the workers were perfectly legal which was very re-assuring.

I am keen to let you know that any information given to us will be investigated and where we are able to, share it with you.  If you have any information that you feel able to share with us, either in person, over the phone, on line or anonymously then please do tell us.  We rely on people telling us about any issues so that we can make the community a better place to be.  If you do prefer anonymity then you can always report to us via Crimestoppers. #PCTerry.
