Man, 53, arrested in connection with Chandler's Ford aggravated burglary

Officers investigating an aggravated burglary in Chandler’s Ford have arrested a 53-year-old man from Reading, Berkshire.

He was detained yesterday (Thursday 5 December) on suspicion of aggravated burglary, and has since been released on conditional police bail, pending further enquiries.

The arrest follows an incident at a coin dealership on Avonborne Way, which was reported to us shortly after 1.30pm on Friday 29 November.

During the incident, which we are treating as targeted, it’s reported that high-value coins and cash were stolen from the property.

One of the suspects involved was also in possession of a pointed article.

We continue to appeal for information regarding the incident. If you have any information which may assist in our investigation, please call 101, or report online via the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary website, quoting incident number 44240520501.
