We have been running a county lines intensification week which is part of a national strategy to target drug related harm in our community and prevent the exploitation of vulnerable children.

As part of this we conducted a Automatic Number Plate Reader operation and utilised a police drug detection dog. It did not take long before a vehicle was stopped and a male was arrested for being under the influence of cannabis while driving a motor vehicle. He was also in possession of cannabis, as was his passenger.

We willing be running these operations frequently in the coming weeks and will proactively target drug use in the Ringwood and surrounding areas.
