Proposal for Burglary safeguarding meeting with DNO PC 28024 Andrews - Winchester District

Stay Safe: Join officers from the Winchester Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) for a community meeting on burglary prevention.

 

Good afternoon residents of Winchester,

 

As the local dedicated neighbourhood officer for the Winchester South Beat area, I am planning on hosting a burglary safeguarding event to help you protect your home and property from burglary. 

 

I am inviting all community members to attend this event where I will share practical advice, safety tips, and resources to reduce the risk of burglary in our neighbourhoods. I am also looking to see if local charities can attend and share some of their advice and tips on burglary prevention.  

 

Topics to be covered:

  • Understanding Local Crime Trends – Learn about recent burglary patterns in our area.
  • Home Security Tips – Simple, effective ways to secure your home.
  • Personal Safety Strategies – How to stay vigilant and aware of suspicious activity.
  • Community Collaboration – How we can work together to keep our neighbourhood safe.

  • Q&A Session – Bring your questions for police and charities.

     

    • Why Attend?

  • Gain valuable knowledge on protecting your home and belongings.
  • Connect with local police and neighbours to strengthen community safety efforts.

  • Learn about neighbourhood watch/"Hampshire Alert" programs and other crime prevention resources available to you.

     

    • Everyone is welcome! Whether you’re a homeowner, renter, or business owner, this meeting is for you. Please share this bulletin with others in the community. 

     

    I am looking at venues in the Winchester area to host this event, which I am happy to hold during and after normal working hours, to ensure everyone in the community can attend if they wish to.
