A man has been charged with assault offences following an incident in Tadley that took place in the early hours of New Year’s Day.

Officers were called 1.24am on Wednesday 1 January to a report of an altercation at a residential building in Hangar Road.

It was reported that two men, both in their 60s, had been assaulted. No serious injuries were reported.

Officers attended and made an arrest.

Anthony Price, 61, of Hangar Road, Tadley, has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and common assault.

He is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday 2 January).
