Drugs seized after two warrants in Andover

We’ve been out and about today carrying out two warrants in Andover as part of our work combating drugs supply.

The warrants took place early yesterday morning (15 January) at addresses at The Hexagon and Tailor Close.

Class B and Class C drugs, drug paraphernalia, and a knuckle duster were seized.

The warrants involved officers from a number of our teams, including the Neighbourhood Policing Team, Investigations and the Priority Crime Team.

Enquiries are ongoing.

We encourage our communities to please keep reporting any information you have on drugs supply to police. You may not see a police deployment immediately, but please be reassured that we are working behind the scenes to build the bigger picture with every detail you provide, and these details will lead

to action like the warrant conducted yesterday.

There is a lot of vulnerability associated with the drugs trade, and it’s no secret that young people are often exploited and coerced into dealing drugs. If you know of a young person who has started behaving differently lately, going missing or becoming more withdrawn, associating with the wrong people, or has started wearing expensive clothes or jewellery then it’s possible they are being groomed and exploited.

Report this information to police by calling 101, or reporting online at www.hampshire.police.uk

Alternatively you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers 100% anonymously on 0800 555 111, or via their anonymous online form at crimestoppers-uk.org
