Find out who your Local Bobby is!

Did you know you have a named and contactable local police officer?

The Local Bobby scheme was launched by your Police and Crime Commissioner Donna Jones, one year ago today.

It is the first scheme of its kind for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight and it’s made it easier than ever to connect with your local police officer.

The Local Bobby scheme means every community has a named, contactable officer whose details you can access with a quick postcode search.

The great thing about it is the contact details are hosted on the Hampshire Alert website, in partnership with the police and the Office of Police and Crime Commissioner.

Get in touch with your Local Bobby today by visiting this link Look up Local Neighbourhood Policing Team - Hampshire Alert

Please do let us know if there are any issues with you finding out who your Local Bobby is. We’d be happy to hear from you.

Do you want to know more about the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) and what she does for you? Here are a few points:

Police and Crime Commissioners are elected and are therefore directly accountable to you, the public. They are entrusted to:

  • Puts your safety first: A Police and Crime Commissioner ensures local police focus on what matters most to you, like tackling anti-social behaviour, reducing crime, and making neighbourhoods safer.
  • Gives you a voice in policing: They listen to your concerns and use them to shape policing priorities, making sure your community's needs are heard and acted upon.
  • Holds police accountable: PCCs oversee the police force, ensuring they deliver results, spend tax-payers money wisely, and focus on public priorities.
  • Funds local safety initiatives: From community safety projects to support for victims of crime, PCCs invest in programs that make a real difference in your area.
  • Keeps policing transparent: PCCs publish plans and results, so you can see exactly how your money is being spent and how crime is being tackled in your community.
