Officers investigating reports of Class A drugs supply in Basingstoke have charged two men and arrested three other people. It comes after officers attended a property on Montserrat Road on Wednesday 15 January and found more than 2,500 wraps of suspected Class A drugs and £900 in cash. Officers also found £3,800 in cash following a search of a property on Alders Close on the same day. Four men and a woman were arrested and two of the men have since been charged. Nathan Mullings, 34, of Alders Close, Basingstoke, has been charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply a Class A controlled drug and acquiring / using / possessing criminal property. Samuel Ball, 22, of Lyburn Road, Nomansland, Wiltshire, has been charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply a Class A controlled drug and acquiring / using / possessing criminal property. They are both due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today (17 January). Two other men and a woman were also arrested as part of the investigation: A 55-year-old woman from Basingstoke was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply a Class A drug controlled drug. A 34-year-old man from Basingstoke was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug. A 28-year-old man from Basingstoke was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply a Class A drug controlled drug. They have been released under investigation, pending further enquiries. | ||||
