Suspected Class A and B drugs seized following Southampton warrant

‘Knock Knock, who’s there?’ THE LOCAL BOBBY!

Yesterday morning the Local Bobby for Redbridge, PC Lewis Rutter, and his colleagues from the Southampton West Neighbourhood Policing Team and the Lyndhurst Neighbourhood Enforcement Team conducted a warrant at an address in search of drugs. A quantity of Class B was located at the address with further lines of enquiry leading to a second address where suspected Class A and Class B drugs were located.

An investigation is now underway and our enquiries are ongoing.

You may think it's  “just a little bit of weed” or “just some coke” there is always a larger picture when it comes to drugs that isn’t often seen or thought about. To name a few things, this includes the exploitation of vulnerable adults & children, the issue of drug debts, drug related violence, and criminality to fund the supply of drugs.

If you have any concerns around drugs in your area please always contact us on 101 or report anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

There are also charities out there that offer support around drug usage such as Frank and Change Grow Live to name a few. There is always your GP service who can help too.

Further details of free drug treatment and support can be found at: https://www.southampton.gov.uk/health/tobacco-alcohol-and-drugs/drug-alcohol-action
