A 36-year-old man from Eastleigh has been charged with multiple offences following reported incidents in the town.

Daniel James Poskitt, of Stranding Street, has been charged with assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm / engaging in controlling/coercive behaviour in an intimate/ family relationship / intentional strangulation / sending communications threatening death or serious harm / stalking involving fear of violence / stalking involving serious harm/distress / assault by beating of an emergency worker.

The charges relate to reported incidents on Stranding Street and Tinning Way between Thursday 1 September 2022 and Saturday 25 January 2025.

Poskitt appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday 27 January and was remanded in custody to next appear at Southampton Crown Court on Monday 3 March.
