PC Carey and PC Trickey have been productive – during targeted patrols under Operation Antidote and Operation Sidlaw, eleven people were stopped and searched across Sandown and Shankin with controlled drugs being seized from some of those searches. Operation Antidote is our response to target drug use and supply and Operation Sidlaw is our response to the Anti-Social use of vehicles and speeding – both identified by our communities as priorities to focus on!
PC Trickey arrested a 13yr old male from Shanklin on Suspicion of the Theft of Motorcycle and PC Carey arrested a 38yr old male from Shanklin on Suspicion of Theft – both have been released on Conditional Police Bail.

We also attended several 999 calls in support of our colleagues on the District Patrol Teams.
PCSO Webb and I were out on cycle patrol in the sleet on Friday evening – pictured is our quick stop at Sandown Rail Station to defrost before heading back for a cuppa – we should have asked for E-Bike’s with heated handlebars/seats 🔥 🚲🥶
