Good morning!
We’ve recently had burglaries across Hart, where jewellery was taken after a messy search of addresses.
If you keep high value jewellery at home, invest in a safe and consider installing a monitored alarm system. Your insurance company will provide advice as to which type and grade of safe and alarm is compliant with your home insurance policy.
Ensure that your home is fully secured. Take some time to look around your property and consider improving any areas of poor security. More information can be found on our website by clicking here.
Keep an inventory of your jewellery. This can be done online via www.immobilise.com which links to the National Mobile Property Register, which we search to repatriate lost or stolen property. Keep photos of your jewellery and upload it to Immobilise.
When leaving your home, ensure doors and windows are locked. Use a timer switch or smart bulbs that switch lights on when you leave to make your home look occupied.
Book a free home security survey with the Blue Lamp Trust by calling 0300 777 0157 or by visiting their website by clicking here. www.bluelamptrust.org.uk
