Good morning, and Happy Monday!
As you may have read last week, we’ve agreed with our local councillors and Neighbourhood Watch that one of our priorities should be targeting dwelling burglaries. This is after statistics in our area have taken a rise in January and February. In January there were seven, and February five burglaries in Yateley, Blackwater and Hawley.
To assist vulnerable people and the elderly, we utilise the help of the Bobby Scheme in order to provide FREE home security, smoke alarms, advice and peace of mind.
We make referrals to the Blue Lamp Trust who then deploy one of their trained safety technicians who carry out a full crime prevention survey.
They can fit items such as:
The Bobby Scheme also offer for a fee the supply and fit of Supra C500 key safes, and Ring Doorbells.
You can self-refer if you meet one of the following criteria:
For more information, to ask for further information, or to make a referral for yourself of someone you know, visit The Blue Lamp Trust website and click Bobby Scheme.
Stay safe,
PC 27999 Ben Blundell, Designated Neighbourhood Officer for Yateley, Blackwater and Hawley.
