On Monday evening, PC Paul Knaggs and PS Geoff Hill attended Yateley Town Council’s annual council meeting at Yateley Village Hall.

During the meeting I’m proud to say that PC Knaggs was honoured by the Mayor of Yateley Mark Griffin, who awarded PC Knaggs with the Mayor’s Gold Award!

This was presented to PC Knaggs for his nearly 29 years of service to Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary, with over 20 years serving the people of Yateley, Blackwater and Hawley.

The Mayor’s citation read as follows:

In recognition of over 20 years of dedicated service to the Town of Yateley, we honour this exceptional policeman.

Throughout his career, he has chosen to remain stationed in Yateley, amazing a wealth of invaluable knowledge about our town. He is a familiar and trusted face within our community and will be greatly missed upon his retirement later this year.

We want him to know that he is always welcome in our town, and generations of families are grateful for the profound impact he has made on their lives.

Our heartfelt thanks go to PC Paul Knaggs.”
