Appeal for information following incidents at two stores in Southampton

We are appealing for information following two incidents at stores in Southampton on Wednesday (19 March).

At approximately 8.40pm a man entered the One Stop store on Park Road and made threats with what was believed to be a knife.

Later on the same evening, at around 10.20pm, a man entered the Hops & Grapes store on Shirley Road. He made threats towards staff by suggesting that he had a knife with him.

Nothing was taken and no-one was injured on either occasion.

Officers investigating these incidents now have these images of a man, seen in the area at the time, who they would like to speak to in connection with their enquiries.

The man is described as:

  • White

  • 6ft tall

  • Aged between 30 and 35-years-old

  • Wearing a black rain coat with the hood up, a dark Under Armour cap, black Under Armour tracksuit bottoms with a white stripe on them and black Nike trainers with a white tick. He was also carrying a Sports Direct bag for life.

  •

We appreciate that these images are not the clearest, however we are hopeful that someone may recognise the man pictured.

If you know who he is, or have any information that may assist our enquiries, please call 101 quoting reference 44250121270.

Alternatively, go online and submit information via https://www.hampshire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report/
