Officers investigating two burglaries in the Winchester area earlier this year have arrested a man.
We were called at around 10pm on 22 January to reports of a burglary at an estate in Itchen Stoke, after entry was forced to storage containers. There was also a further shed burglary at an address on Folly Hill Lane.
On police arrival, a vehicle was seen driving away that was suspected to have been involved in the burglaries.
Officers pursued the vehicle, which was then in collision with a property causing significant damage. The driver decamped and made off but was not located.
Following enquiries, on Monday (24 March) a 27-year-old man from Chessington was arrested on suspicion of burglary, criminal damage, and failing to stop for police.
He has been released on police bail as the investigation continues. | ||||
