A man has been charged with a drug offence following a proactive stop in Basingstoke yesterday.

Officers were on patrol and spotted suspicious activity linked to a Mercedes car at the Leisure Park on Worting Road at around 11am on Thursday 27 March.

Following a search, officers located approximately 30 bags of suspected Class A drugs and an identity document, which was suspected to be fake.

All items, including the vehicle, were seized and a man was arrested at the scene.

Dejvi Bushi, 22, of no fixed abode, has since been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A and possessing / controlling identity documents with intent.

He is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today (28 March).
