A woman has been arrested on suspicion of fraud offences following a warrant in Basingstoke this morning.

Officers attended an address on Appleton Drive at around 7am on Friday 28 March and carried out a search. Various digital devices were seized.

It comes after officers received reports of a cyber-crime incident after a business email had reportedly been hacked.

A 55-year-old woman from Basingstoke was arrested on suspicion of fraud by false representation, unauthorised access to a computer to facilitate the commission of an offence and unauthorised computer access with intent to commit other offences.

She remains in custody while our enquiries continue.
