Good afternoon to you all and Happy Mothers' day to all the mum's out there 😀

For all those that were having to work this morning I hope you manged to get to work on time despite the clock changes over night 😴

The Island's roads have been a hive of activity over the weekend and due to the warmer, sunnier weather there are studies that suggest this increases your chance of being involved in a collision. Please stay safe out on the roads and be realistic on your driving ability. This weekend I have been carrying out speed enforcement and some of the speeds captured have been very excessive. Is there a link between the warmth of the sunshine and the heaviness of a drivers right foot?? I wouldn't have thought so, so please slow down and respect the stated limits. 🚫

This weekend (so far) I have seized five vehicles. Four for no insurance and one for no tax. I have also had mobile phone offences and one person driving unsupervised on a provisional driving licence ⛔

Remember, drinking and driving is not worth the risk, its a timely reminder for those taking family out this afternoon and maybe tempted to consume alcohol.
