PC Carey, your Local Bobby, took me for a gentle 7 mile foot patrol through Shanklin, Lake and Sandown yesterday evening. We met with several local residents and had some pleasant discussions around what is important to them locally. We patrolled all of our current Hot Spots for Anti-Social Behaviour, Drug Use/Supply and Anti-Social Vehicles. These are the top 3 Priorities you have set for s to concentrate on. We stop and searched a young man in Sandown using Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act we engaged with two very pleasant groups of teenagers using Rainbow Park and the Skate Park in Sandown. We also stopped and spoke with a driver who was using their car in a potentially anti-social manner and delivered some educational inputs and a warning. Thankfully the sun was out, making it a pleasant and productive patrol. Our commitment to you is to ensure your Local Bobbies and PCSO's are out on foot and cycle patrols every duty day, targeting the areas you have asked us to concentrate on.
