Officers from Gosport Central Neighbourhood Team will be in the open space between the Town Hall and the Discovery Centre tomorrow (12/04/25) afternoon. From 14:00hrs we will be there for an hour or so or until we run out of stickers or bikes to put stickers on. The stickers we use can be removed but what is important is that they show the bike has been listed with Bike Registry. This system allows us to record details of the bike and the owner as well as photos to assist with its return should it be stolen. 

Our data shows that across Gosport bike theft is down 31% in the last 12 months, local FB posts suggest otherwise. Our data will only show reported thefts and we can’t be expected to investigate crimes we don’t know about so please do report online or call 101. We have had some success recently whereby a bike put FB as found had separately been reported stolen was investigated, the offender was found and issued a Community Resolution and the bike was returned to the owner.
