Witness appeal after man hit by vehicle in Ludshott Common near Headley Down

We are appealing for witnesses and information following reports that a man had been struck by a Utility Terrain Vehicle in Ludshott Common near Headley Down.

Officers received a report that a man in his 50s was hit by the vehicle, which is similar to a quad bike, while walking his dogs along a bridleway at around 5pm on Tuesday 8 April.

He suffered bruising and scratches as a result of the incident.

The bike was described as being a two-seater UTV-style vehicle. The people on the bike have been described as being white and aged around 16-17 years old. One had fair hair and one had darker hair.

They were seen driving off in the direction of Pond Road after the incident.

Since this was reported to us, officers have been carrying out enquiries and are now appealing for witnesses. Were you in the area at the time? Did you see the bike in the Common that day? Do you know who was riding it? Do you have any footage that could help our enquiries?

Officers would also like to remind people that only push bikes, horses, and foot traffic is allowed in Ludshott Common.

Anyone with information is asked to contact 101, quoting 44250153591.
