Rogue Traders call on people claiming that that work needs doing on your property  and offer services on the doorstep with little or no means of identification. They will point out something like a loose tile on the roof, or claim the chimney is unsafe. They try over charge trying to take more money each time sometimes without completing the work. 

If someone calls at your door unexpectedly offering services or goods remember 

Don't feel pressured to hand over money at the door.

Obtain three written quotes before choosing a trader

Only pay for the work once it has been completed and you are satisfied with the job
