Officers investigating a theft at Careys Manor Hotel, Lyndhurst Road, Brockenhurst have now arrested two men in connection with the incident.

A 34-year-old man from Southampton and a 36-year-old man from Basingstoke have both been arrested on suspicion of theft and fraud by false representation.

It follows a reported theft of a wallet, containing cash and bank cards, among other items. It was reported stolen from one of the lockers between 5pm and 7pm on Thursday 10 April.

The stolen cards were also subsequently used at shops in New Milton.

The two men have been released on conditional police bail, pending further enquiries.
