Surrendering knives

As part of our commitment to reducing knife crime, we are offering the public opportunities to surrender knives they have in their possession to us.

There are a couple of ways this can be done…

Firstly, you can come and use the dedicated Surrender Bin which is located at the front office of Newport police station. The bin will be there between Monday 16 May and Sunday 22 May. The station opening hours are:

Monday - Saturday 9am - 6pm (closed 1pm to 2pm)

Sunday 9:30am - 6pm (closed 1pm to 2pm)
