Bursledon incidents - have you experienced similar?

We are aware of reports of suspected fraudulent activity in which a man has called at addresses in the Bursledon area, asking for money for a taxi in order to visit family members in hospital.

In the run-up to Christmas, this was reported to us in the Devonshire Gardens (16 December) and Oakeley Vale (20 December) areas of Bursledon.

However, we are also aware that it may have occurred at properties on other roads. On more than one occasion, cash has been given to the man.

We urge anyone visited by this man to not part with any money, and to simply report the incident to us at the earliest opportunity. 

As part of our ongoing enquiries, we would also like to hear from anyone who has already received a visit from this individual.
