DIY e-bikes

RIGHT TIME, RIGHT PLACE - whilst on foot patrol around Leesland Park S/Sgt CORNEY could hear some e-bikes. Placing himself strategically and biding his time he was able to get hold of one of the bikes whilst the rider and his friends fled. The bike will now be destroyed.  Not only are these bike a risk to those riding them they are ridden in a way and at a speed that puts other members of the public at risk.

I know this post may open up the debate about legal/illegal e-bikes and scooters but in this instance the electrical/mechanical set up was a house fire waiting to happen.
