Rural Crime Safety Alert

Rural Crime Safety Alert

⚠️Your Safety Comes First ⚠️

We are asking residents, landowners and members of the rural community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. However, please do not approach, challenge, or engage with suspicious individuals, vehicles, or incidents.

Some rural criminals can be unpredictable and may become confrontational if challenged.

If you see something suspicious:

Keep a safe distance at all times.

Do not place yourself at risk to obtain information.

Only take photographs or video if it is safe to do so.

Note vehicle registrations, descriptions, locations and directions of travel where possible.

Report suspicious activity to police via 101 or online.

If a crime is taking place, there is a threat to life, or offenders are on scene, call 999 immediately.

Rural criminals often target isolated locations and may use 4x4 vehicles, trailers or other equipment to facilitate offending. Your information is valuable, but no piece of intelligence is worth putting yourself in danger for.

Please be our eyes and ears, but never put yourself at risk. If in doubt, observe from a safe location and report what you see.
